Our Operations

The Department of Blood and Tumor Diseases is located in the new care building, entrance 100/101 at Dag Hammarskjölds väg. The department has modern facilities with single rooms, new information and communication technology systems, and separated professional and public flows. The radiation therapy department is equipped with the latest medical equipment, including Sweden's first MR-linac that combines linear accelerator with imaging diagnostics, 4 standard linear accelerators, 1 CT scanner, 1 MRI scanner, and 2 brachytherapy rooms. The new construction gives us new opportunities to co-locate the Department of Blood and Tumor Diseases together with the Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine, which provides new collaboration opportunities with great potential patient benefits.

Your Mission

As a specialist physician in the Department of Blood and Tumor Diseases, you will work in the oncology section with placement in radiation therapy. Development work and collaboration with other staff categories are important. Research activity is high, and within the department, there is also a dedicated clinical research and development unit.

With proximity to the university, you have the opportunity to participate in research and development in your field. Even though the hospital is large, the distance between our various specialties is never far. Here, you will also have the opportunity to develop through stimulating meetings with colleagues and patients as well as through supervision of medical students. Together, we create a challenging and developing workplace where freedom under responsibility is a natural part.
