Department of Surgery and Urology

Department of Surgery

We have about 400 employees distributed across outpatient clinics, wards, and seven medical sections. A large part of our care consists of national and regional patients who have been referred for highly specialized investigation and treatment. We are a research-intensive clinic in close collaboration with Uppsala University.

Esophagus and Stomach Section

The operation includes investigation and treatment of surgical diseases in the esophagus and stomach. We provide highly specialized cancer care for the Central Sweden region, as well as reflux and obesity surgery in larger volumes.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a relatively newly qualified specialist in surgery and wants to develop in advanced laparoscopic surgery. We would like you to be interested in research and teaching. Emphasis is placed on collaboration skills, as you will become an important part of our team.

We Offer

A full-time temporary position for 6 months starting in June 2026, with a great opportunity for permanent employment later. Salary and start date according to agreement. On-call and standby duties are included.
