NCC is expanding the prison in Tidaholm and for the next phase, we need you in the role of site manager. This is the role for you who enjoys working on large projects where you have the opportunity to contribute your expertise during implementation and drive the project forward with your leadership.
The position of site manager - earthworks and construction
The position of site manager within Major Projects involves responsibility for planning, coordinating, leading, and following up on the project's implementation regarding time, quality, economy, and sustainability. You will have foremen, skilled workers, and specialists to assist you, who together with subcontractors drive and implement successful projects.
The role includes personnel responsibility for 5–10 skilled employees and leadership responsibility for the team. In your role, you will also have support from the responsible project manager, who is also your immediate supervisor, project engineer, purchaser, and HR. Together, you create the best possible conditions for a good work environment, engagement, and progress in the project.
Your profile
You have a university degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience from the construction or civil engineering industry. We are looking for someone with at least three years of experience as a site manager or several years of experience as a foreman, consultant, or project engineer in earthworks and construction projects. Based on this, we expect you to have a good understanding of cost control and be accustomed to working in collaborative projects.
The position involves many points of contact, both internally and externally. As a site manager, you need to maintain good dialogue and collaborate both within the team, internally at NCC, and externally with clients and subcontractors. Therefore, we prefer that you have a solution-oriented approach, enjoy leading and inspiring your employees, and work towards a good work environment.
Good order and structure are prerequisites, as well as a structured working method with an understanding of follow-up and documentation. The role of site manager also requires that you are confident in the leadership role and have the ability to delegate and set demands.
The project language is Swedish, but some internal training is conducted in English as a common language for our Nordic countries. Therefore, you need to be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.
A B driver's license is a requirement for the position. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities for the position.
About Major Projects
The Major Projects division develops and leads complex construction projects with an order value of approximately 1.5 billion or more. Within the division, experienced project directors, project managers, specialists, and other key competencies come together to meet the demands placed on this type of project – from tender to completed project.

Additional information
The position is full-time and begins with a probationary period of 6 months. Start date by agreement. Your first placement will be at our project in Tidaholm
The basic requirement is that you drive the project on-site, but we are open to the possibility of weekly commuting. In that case, you need to be on-site Monday to Thursday and available by phone on Fridays. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on final candidates.
