Maintenance Electrician at Graphic Packaging

About the Position

As a Maintenance Electrician at Graphic Packaging, you will work with maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of production machinery.

In production, projects are continuously underway to develop the machines, and as a Maintenance Electrician, you will play an important role in the maintenance, repairs, and ongoing development and safety of our machinery. We are now expanding our Maintenance Department, and therefore we are looking for someone who wishes to work night shifts.

You will be part of a maintenance team that has extensive experience, broad expertise, and a focus on collaborating to solve everyday problems as well as the most challenging maintenance tasks. During the night shift, an industrial mechanic works alongside an industrial electrician, but the training period will take place during morning and afternoon shifts. You will work closely with production operators, many of whom have extensive experience and can be of great help. Since this position is active during the nights, there is less contact with the machine's Production Managers and potential external suppliers, but this can still occur, which is facilitated by good communication and dialogue. As the machines handle various types of materials, attention to detail and understanding of the entire process from start to finished product is required.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Electrician will include:

• Maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, functionality testing, and problem-solving
• Preventive maintenance and documentation primarily in the maintenance system MaintMaster and to some extent in SAP.
• Participation in modernization, machine conversions, and technical development of the machines
• Involvement in managing the spare parts inventory

If you have a long-term ambition to learn more about automation to eventually participate in the development of control systems, operator interfaces, programming, and troubleshooting of machine controls, there are good opportunities with us, but this is not a requirement.

The employment is a permanent position and the role involves shift work with constant night shifts.

Your Background

We are looking for an experienced, driven electrician with a high school education or higher in electrical engineering or a similar background.

It is advantageous if you have previously worked in the packaging industry or manufacturing industry and if you have knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens (S5, S7, and TIA portal). You should have a few years of experience as the work will require independence, as the role will be the sole mechanic during the work shift. As a person, we believe you have a strong focus on safety, are curious, solution-oriented, independent, and flexible. We are looking for someone who has the ability to organize and drive their work forward and is not afraid to give or ask for help when needed.
