The role of maintenance technician at Orsing

We are looking for someone who wants to work with maintenance, continuous improvements, and development. Together with our production manager, you will ensure optimal daily operations/production in our facility. The tasks as a maintenance technician are varied and include planning, executing, and documenting maintenance and service, e.g., of our extrusion machines and other equipment within our production.

In addition to the above, the role can be briefly summarized in the points below:

• Ensure the daily operation of production.
• Daily problem-solving and management of the machinery.
• Coordination of maintenance activities and participation in their planning.
• Preventive work and maintenance as well as collaborating with the production manager in developing maintenance plans.
• Implementation of operator-related maintenance.
• Train our machine operators during production changes.
• Development of routines and instructions.
• Be an active team player and take initiative to suggest improvements in the business.
• Continuously work on improvements and optimization of production processes.
• In consultation with the production manager, actively work towards the introduction of new technology and automation as well as the design and construction of new machines and their commissioning.
• Participate in innovation-driven product projects and test runs in production.
• Development of investment proposals and drive production improvement projects.
• Cleaning and daily maintenance of machines and equipment in the workshop.

Your background and suitable experience

We are primarily looking for someone who has previously worked in a production environment, e.g., as a maintenance or service technician or in a mechanical workshop. To fit into the role of maintenance technician with us, we believe you have the following background and experience:

• You have a basic technical education in areas such as electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• You have experience in mechanical and technical work within a production environment, preferably from a similar role.
• You are skilled in welding and also possess knowledge in machining (drilling, turning, milling, etc.).
• You have good computer skills in MS Office and IT systems.
• You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English.
• You have a valid driver’s license B, as well as a forklift license.

Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics as well as previous experience from production in an injection molding or extrusion company is a plus.

Work location and hours

The work takes place at our production facility in Helsingborg. Full-time daytime, but on-call/extra time may occur beyond your regular working hours. Agreement with IF Metall. Immediate start according to agreement.
