In the center of the city lies the cultural house Väven, which includes Umeå City Library, Umeå Art Hall, the Women's History Museum, and Folkets Bio.

At Väven, performances and programs are offered in various genres. We are looking for someone who, along with other staff in the Program Department, wants to continue developing the program activities.

Your Responsibilities

As a program coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing cultural activities for an adult/senior target group throughout the municipality. You are expected to create, maintain, and establish networks for the execution of events. Invoicing, budget responsibility, and financial follow-up are part of the assignment.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant university education and/or equivalent experience in the cultural field, such as cultural administration, cultural analysis, cultural studies, literature, music, theater studies, or other education that can be considered equivalent.

You have many years of experience working with events and program activities. Experience in project management and budgeting within cultural production is a requirement. Additionally, experience in maintaining and updating websites and social media, audience service, or similar is advantageous. You should have a good ability to take projects from idea to execution. We prefer that you have established networks within the cultural sector both locally and nationally. You also need to have good computer skills and be familiar with the Office suite. The position requires good planning and organizational skills, as well as strong collaboration abilities.

You are unpretentious and move easily between different cultural expressions. You enjoy working with people and have a knack for making connections. You communicate well in both spoken and written forms. If you have language skills other than Swedish, we consider that an advantage. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

A valid driver's license (B) is required as many events are held throughout the municipality.
