Traffic and Street Unit
The Park and Traffic Department manages the outdoor environment owned by Region Gotland to provide the public with a pleasant park, nature, and urban environment.
The tasks of the Traffic and Street Unit also include cleaning, sweeping, snow removal, and ice control, as well as the operation and maintenance of streets and roads. The department is responsible for the management of the administration's machines, vehicles, and vehicle workshop work.

Your Tasks
Do you want to truly make a difference and create added value for everyone who spends time in our public environment?
We are now looking for several cheerful individuals who want to be part of our sanitation team. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the cleaning of our streets and squares. Your tasks will include emptying trash cans, litter picking, weeding, and being generally helpful to our citizens and visitors to make Gotland and Visby an attractive place. The work is performed with various vehicles such as ATVs and cars.
The employment is temporary and will last from week 23 to week 33, with working hours scheduled for evenings between 13:45 and 21:30. We staff all days of the week according to a rotating schedule.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is at least 18 years old and has a B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles. The work has physical demands and requires that you enjoy being outdoors.
It is advantageous if you have experience with similar tasks, know your way around Visby, and have previous experience working in a group and as a team. It is also beneficial if you have experience in operating machinery and if you have trimmer training as well as training in work on roads (APV).
We are looking for someone who is cheerful and positive, good at collaborating, and can be self-sufficient in your tasks. You need to be service-oriented and have the ability to always keep our citizens and visitors in focus. For us, a good reception is important, so for this position, we highly value personality, motivation, and drive.
