Traffic and Street Unit

The Park and Traffic Department manages the outdoor environment owned by Region Gotland to provide the public with a pleasant park, nature, and urban environment.

The Traffic and Street Unit's tasks also include cleaning, sweeping, snow removal, and ice control, as well as the operation and maintenance of streets and roads. The department is responsible for the management's machinery, vehicles, and vehicle workshop work.

Your Tasks

Do you want one of Gotland's most fun summer jobs while making a difference and creating added value for everyone who enjoys our public environment? Then take the chance and become one of Region Gotland's cycling environmental heroes in the project “We Pedal Towards the Future”!

In the role of cycling sanitation worker, you will be part of a team that works together on sanitation in our public environment in Visby. We will use electric cargo bikes to get around areas such as the Strandpromenaden, the Harbor, Östercentrum, and several other locations. There, you will empty trash bins, pick up litter, and assist our citizens and visitors to make Gotland and Visby an attractive place.

The work will start in week 25 and continue until week 33. Working hours are from 09:30 AM to 04:00 PM. We staff all days of the week according to a rolling schedule.

Who Are You?

We are now looking for someone who is 16 years or older and wants to be part of our team of cycling sanitation workers. It is advantageous if you have an AM driver's license, but it is not a requirement.

We are looking for someone who is cheerful and positive and has a genuine desire to make a difference. The role requires you to be service-oriented, self-driven, and assumes that you enjoy physical work and being outdoors. For us, good customer service is important, so for this position, we highly value personality, motivation, and drive.
