The Community Planning Administration aims to make, maintain, manage, and develop the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure, and transport with a forward-looking approach. The administration's work is characterized by collaboration, a holistic view, and effective resource utilization. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from ecological, social, and economic perspectives.

The Community Planning Administration consists of the following operational areas: Physical planning, Water, sewage, and waste, Streets, parks, and forests, and Properties, Environment, and construction. The Project and Investment Unit drives and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments.

The Technical Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water and sewage, waste management, parks and playgrounds, streets and traffic, public transport, and transport services. The department also coordinates the municipality's service vehicles and heavy equipment. The department consists of about 60 employees with a wide range of competencies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a construction worker, you will be part of a well-knit team of about 15 employees who provide the best possible service to the municipality's clients and citizens. Together, we do everything we can to ensure that the municipality's residents have the best possible community to live and thrive in. Our workplace is characterized by openness and honest relationships where we have high ceilings.

Your main tasks will involve the operation and maintenance of streets as well as the remediation of water and sewage in existing streets. Work on the new construction of streets and roads, as well as all related water and sewage tasks, is an important part of your responsibilities. Your flexibility and breadth will also mean that you will often work with various tasks outside your normal operational area.

Examples of common tasks include pipe laying, utility construction, building pump stations, etc. Renovation and new construction of streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths are also included in the tasks, as well as the operation and maintenance of the municipality's facilities.

You will have the entire municipality as your work field, although most of the tasks will be located near the city.

Standby for water and sewage may be included in the position, as well as assisting other groups/units within the Technical Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B
• Experience in water and sewage work is required.
• Knowledge of materials within water and sewage networks is required.
• Experience in new construction and reconstruction of streets is required.
• Or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience in leak detection.
• Chainsaw training class AB.
• Food hygiene training in distribution facilities.
• Knowledge of drawing principles.
• Experience in height measurement and measuring instruments.
• Certification in PE welding/Butt welding.
• Experience with pump stations.
• Safe lifting.
• Roadwork training.
• Hot work.
• Safe excavation.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others but can also independently perform their tasks. You have a good sense of service and a desire to meet customer needs. You have a willingness to increase your competence and a drive to develop.

Great importance is placed on your personal qualities, such as initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work equally well with others in a team as independently.

OTHER

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security review with a background check will then be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
