About the Position

Within the Community Building Administration, approximately 20 people currently work in the VA/Waste department. Our common mission is to ensure a safe and sustainable water supply and proper handling of municipal waste now and in the future. Together with others, we shape and build Tidaholm into a city that has the potential to change and grow, providing good conditions for the residents' daily lives. The VA department now needs reinforcement in the organization for daily operations and maintenance!

As a piping network technician, your tasks will include:

• Piping networks for water, sewage, and stormwater
• Repair and maintenance as well as new installations
• Inspections, measurements, and investigative work
• Leak detection and repair
• Public service
• Water meter installations and replacements at customer sites
• Material ordering, planning, and follow-up
• Machine work with wheel loaders/tractors

As a piping network technician, you will be the face of the VA department, as you will encounter both contractors and customers in your daily work. The work takes place outdoors in all weather conditions and can sometimes be physically demanding. When you join us, you will become an important part of a small workgroup where we help each other solve the tasks the department has.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education focused on piping networks and pipeline technology. Alternatively, you have a high school education in technology, plumbing, or construction.

You have good knowledge of using a computer for information retrieval, reporting, and follow-up, as we are developing our digital working methods in all processes. You need to have a B driver's license and be able to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

We want you to enjoy working with others while also being able to work independently in your daily tasks.

It is an advantage if you have certified training in water supply and hygiene training for drinking water, as well as a few years of practical experience.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
