About the role and your responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a stable and efficient IT environment by developing, operating, optimizing, administering, and troubleshooting within Entra ID. The focus is on supporting the business in its efforts to increase quality, security, and efficiency. You are expected to be an expert in the technical aspects of the platform – the one who “clicks, scripts, and configures” according to the product owner's guidance and the architect's design.

Examples of responsibilities and tasks:

• Daily administration of Entra ID (users, groups, roles, and devices)
• Implementing assignments and adjustments via role management (RBAC)
• Setting up and maintaining Conditional Access, MFA, and PIM
• Managing identities and security in a hybrid environment (Entra ID and Active Directory)
• Participating in case management, troubleshooting, and development related to IAM
• Ensuring that implementations follow the architect's solution design and the product owner's policies
• Monitoring news and trends within the area of responsibility. You share insights with colleagues when it can drive development forward.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in developing work methods and processes with the support of modern systems and new technology. You must also have practical experience in Entra ID administration, IAM automation, and you may have previously worked in hybrid environments with, for example, Entra ID Connect and on-prem AD. You have the ability to troubleshoot IAM-related issues (logins, rights, and access flows). If you have experience with logging and integration with Microsoft Sentinel, F5, ADFS, or Microsoft Defender, we consider that an advantage. Experience working in larger organizations with many users and roles will facilitate your work.

To thrive in this role, you need to be able to work independently and drive your own processes, but you also appreciate collaborating with others. You structure and organize your work, see opportunities in changes, and have a positive attitude towards challenges and learning new things.

We want you to have a university or college education in, for example, computer science, or alternatively, have other post-secondary education combined with relevant work experience. If you have certifications in Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, we view that positively. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing. You understand concepts and technical literature in the field in English.

We at the IT and Digitalization Department are over 60 employees who conduct strategic development work, are responsible for IT infrastructure, municipal common services, and system development. Our most important clients are the municipality's eight administrations, which, with their diverse operations, place different demands on the IT environment.
