Smörblomman is located in lovely Saltsjö-boo. We are a preschool that focuses on the best interests of children and offers educational environments that allow children to meet, explore, play, and be inspired. At Smörblomman, dedicated educators encourage and support each child's ability, desire, and willingness to learn and develop.

In our kitchen, there are great opportunities to develop children's taste universes and provide them with a good start in life as well as a healthy relationship with food, health, and sustainability. Food is so much more than just nutrition! You will be offered a clear introduction from our central meal group, which will also support you with menu suggestions, choice of ingredients, and purchasing questions when and if you need it.

We also offer professional development in your field several times a year, as well as networking meetings with other chefs in similar roles to yours. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with and for fantastic children who are very interested in food and who, together with the educators and the chef at the preschool, work with meal pedagogy.

About the Position

The preschool currently has 73 children and 14 educators and is divided into 4 age groups where food is served in the departments. The preschool offers breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily, as well as special diets for children who need them. The preschool has a proud tradition of cooking from scratch with a focus on flavor, ingredients, and experience. The preschool works to develop the educational meal together with the kitchen and educators.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has documented experience in the chef role, preferably from preschool/school and/or the restaurant world.
• Sees food and nutrition as an interest both privately and in your professional role.
• Is active and interested in driving and participating in the preschool's development work and is happy to share how you can contribute an important part to this.
• Can organize your workday well enough to suit the children's group and works independently to shape and develop our health profile based on your professional role.
• Sees the children and their guardians as your guests and meets them with joy, acceptance, and kindness.

Other Information

This position is a permanent employment with a 92% employment rate and an initial probationary period of 6 months. The start date will be agreed upon with the employee.
