Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to work broadly with BUP's core mission and specialize in the Gender Identity Clinic (KIM).

We strive for a cohesive care process throughout the clinic, and the position is divided between KIM and BUP's outpatient care. In BUP's outpatient care, you have the opportunity to work with treatment, in acute assignments, and/or neuropsychiatric assessments based on what suits you best.

As a psychologist at KIM, you will be responsible for the psychological assessment and investigation of potential gender dysphoria together with the team's social workers and doctors. This is done through mapping conversations, interviews, parent discussions, and various assessments. Patients are referred from a BUP clinic, and KIM is responsible for investigating the patients and consulting and supporting other BUP clinics regarding gender dysphoria.

As a psychologist at KIM, you collaborate with other healthcare providers within the NHV assignment, such as endocrinologists, speech therapists, adult psychiatry, and other parts of the healthcare system involved in the care chain. Since the NHV assignment is relatively new, the clinic is still developing. We follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's national knowledge support for children and adolescents with gender dysphoria.

Work Group

All work within BUP is carried out in close collaboration within a team. At KIM, the team consists of psychologists, social workers, doctors, and administrative staff. We also have a close collaboration with KIM Adult in Linköping, the Child and Adolescent Health Centers in the region, and our partner clinics in Region Skåne. Our primary catchment area is the Southeast healthcare region.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with a few years of experience in the profession. Since you will be communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We prefer that you have experience working in psychiatry and are accustomed to working with child psychiatric assessments, broad evaluations, and treatment. It is an advantage if you have experience/interest in meeting LGBTQI+ individuals and have an understanding of this group.

We are looking for someone who has the commitment and drive to work independently but also enjoys working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. We want you to have an interest in improving and developing the team and care process with the patient's best interests in focus. Important skills include being attentive, having good collaboration skills, and confidence in your professional role. You thrive with varied tasks and work in accordance with scientific evidence and proven experience according to established guidelines.

We place great value on the social work environment and hope that you also find it important to contribute and enjoy working together. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
