Graveyard Worker – Seasonal Employee

The Stockholm Cemetery Administration is responsible for burial services in Stockholm. The administration conducts burial and service activities with high ethical standards and is responsible for 12 cemeteries, 13 chapels, one ceremony building, and 2 crematoria with significant cultural and historical values.

Unit West; includes Bromma, Spånga, Brännkyrka cemeteries as well as Råcksta, Hässelby, and Västberga burial sites.

From April to November, the needs at our cemeteries around Stockholm increase. Therefore, we now need to strengthen our team with seasonal employees.

The seasonal employment is full-time, from April to September. Depending on the season, some extension may occur.

Job Responsibilities

Your main tasks as a graveyard worker will involve working with gardening. This includes tasks such as lawn mowing, trimming, weeding, soil replenishment, hedge trimming, planting, and watering flowers and plants on graves, as well as leaf clearing in our various green areas, etc. If necessary, you may also perform minor landscaping work and participate in grave openings and restorations.

The work is physically demanding, and we work outdoors regardless of the weather.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in park work and burial services
• Familiarity with gardening tools/equipment
• Has an AM or B driver's license
• Education in gardening/landscape maintenance

We seek someone who is self-motivated and takes great personal responsibility. You have good collaboration skills and demonstrate sound judgment in interactions with colleagues and the public. You are resilient with the ability to work systematically.

Full-time Monday to Friday. 07:00 – 16:00
