Borgholm Castle is looking for a caretaker for the 2026 season

From early spring to late autumn, there is a lot happening at this Öland destination, ranging from concerts, children's activities, exhibitions, guided tours, and evening events. Borgholm Castle is today the ruin of the magnificent baroque palace built by Charles X Gustav in the mid-17th century. The oldest parts of the castle date back to the 12th century.

Today, it is a vibrant place and one of the region's most popular attractions. Here, history blends with our time. Now, it is us together who create history at the castle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the internal and external maintenance of the property. This includes participation in preparations for various events, dinners, children's activities, and concerts. You will be part of the team in setting up this year's seasonal exhibitions. You will repair and fix broken technology and equipment when needed and also assist with craft visits. Work with clearing and lawn mowing is also included in the position, as well as cleaning toilets and other facilities within the castle's visitor operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive and social attitude who enjoys problem-solving. You have a B driver's license and experience in caretaking.
