Intensive Care Nurse at Region Jämtland Härjedalen

Do you want to be a part of Region Jämtland Härjedalen - a region to long for and grow in? With us, you contribute to development and growth throughout the county and work to provide the best possible service, care, and support for everyone living in or visiting the region.

We offer a work environment characterized by collaboration, participation, and commitment, where both breadth and specialized competence are valued. Here you will have the opportunity to develop in your role, whether you are new to the profession or have extensive experience.

At our intensive care unit (ICU), we are about 60 nurses and nursing assistants who, together with doctors and physiotherapists, run a general intensive care unit that cares for severely ill and seriously injured patients of all ages.

Each year, we care for about 2,000 patients, of which 600 are intensive care patients. The rest are postoperative patients and patients in need of, for example, epidural catheter insertion or central venous catheter (CVC) placement.

Our responsibilities also include the Mobile Intensive Care Group (MIG), the ICU outpatient clinic (follow-up for ICU patients), and participating in trauma alarms in the emergency department. We meet patients and their relatives in situations where life is at stake, making our work feel meaningful and rewarding!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intensive care nurse with us, you have overall responsibility for the advanced nursing and high-tech care we provide.

We work in teams around the patient together with nursing assistants, speech therapists, doctors, and physiotherapists. In emergency medicine, your contributions are also needed in other areas of the hospital, such as handling cases together with anesthesiologists during MIG alarms and trauma alarms.

Our schedule also includes time for development work and quality assurance. Annually, we conduct team exercises and training initiatives, including A-HLR. At least once a month, we also have scheduled training afternoons.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in intensive care.

The advanced care we provide places high demands on your competence in anatomy, physiology, medical technology, and, not least, ethics. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other entities are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

OTHER

In Region Jämtland Härjedalen, our work is permeated by our core values: we create value for those we serve, act with decisiveness, and strive to always be perceived as reliable. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in an organization where these values shape everyday life and where your work truly makes a difference.

As an employee, you will have access to a wide range of benefits through our benefits portal. We care about your health and offer wellness grants or wellness hours. At Östersund Hospital, you can also train for free at the gym Zefyren and participate in instructor-led classes.

Selection and appointment may occur continuously during the advertising period, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.

We have an established mediation process for recruitment and kindly but firmly request no contact from advertising sellers or other recruitment service sellers.

To ensure the quality of the recruitment process in Region Jämtland Härjedalen and to enable good communication with our applicants, we ask you to submit your application digitally and not via email or in paper format.

Warm welcome with your application!
