The VA unit is looking for a curious operations technician for a vital community mission; water and sewage.

At the VA unit, we manage the municipality's water and sewage treatment plants along with associated pumping and pressure boosting stations. Our fundamental task is the production of drinking water, treatment of wastewater, and distribution of water and sewage. We are in an exciting development phase and are looking for someone who wants to join us on the journey towards the future of Håbo municipality.

Your Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will involve maintaining and ensuring the operation of the municipal water and sewage pipelines. This includes tasks such as valve operation, flushing of pipes, and clearing obstacles. Work within construction projects and service/maintenance of storage and construction machinery is also relevant, as well as reading water meters, troubleshooting the pipeline network, and planning and executing water shutdowns.

In collaboration with other staff, you will also monitor, plan, and perform operational and maintenance measures for the municipality's VA facilities such as pumping stations, water and sewage treatment plants, water towers, and pressure boosting stations. There are good opportunities to work on improvements, digitization, and optimization. On-call duty is included in the position.

We Are Looking for Someone Who

We are looking for someone with an operations technician education or other equivalent technical education, with experience from work within the VA pipeline network. Good computer skills are a requirement as several tasks are performed in a digital environment. Therefore, you must be able to handle modern technology on mobile devices, tablets, and computers. A B driver's license for manual vehicles is required, a C driver's license is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and characteristics. The work requires good collaboration skills, independent work, flexibility, as well as accuracy and quality awareness.
