Chalmersfastigheter (https://chalmersfastigheter.se/) is Chalmers' own property company and currently consists of 36 employees. Our primary task is to supply Chalmers with both owned premises and by renting properties and premises from other property owners for Chalmers' operations, but we are also an important part of realizing Chalmers' vision of a sustainable future through the development of the campus. Chalmers' activities are gathered in campus environments at Johanneberg and Lindholmen, as well as operations at the Onsala Space Observatory on Råö. With well-thought-out campus areas and nodes, we want to create the best conditions for education, research, and collaboration that benefits everyone.

Our vision is to create sustainable and attractive world-class campuses. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that Chalmers has the best possible conditions to achieve its goal – to be an internationally leading technical university!

The Role
As a facility technician at Chalmersfastigheter, you will have a varied and exciting role where you work closely with our tenants, contractors, and colleagues – in an environment where technology, problem-solving, and service go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings and technical systems with ongoing operational optimization.
  • Troubleshooting, repair, and handling of fault reports.
  • Participate in systematic fire protection work.
  • Ongoing communication with tenants and contractors.
  • Participate in budget work, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Participate in operational meetings with clients.
  • On-call duty (DiB) every seventh week to handle acute operational disruptions and incidents.

You will join an experienced team with high competence and a good atmosphere, where you will also have the opportunity for generous onboarding in the company. The team currently consists of seven facility technicians and one supervisor and is part of the Operations and Management department. The department is led by the Technical Manager, Pelle Arve (https://www.linkedin.com/in/pelle-arve-2950194a/).

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome you who have experience in property management, technology, or similar fields, and with good knowledge in ventilation, plumbing, or control technology. You have a good ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and understand the entirety of technical systems, and you are driven to solve problems in a practical and hands-on manner. A few years of work experience is important – but your attitude, technical curiosity, and willingness to develop also weigh heavily.

It is advantageous if you have previously worked in technically complex environments with critical deliveries, such as hospitals, laboratories, industry, research environments, or campus operations. If you also have competence in control technology and room climate, or experience from contracting and customer-facing roles, we see this as a great advantage.

You are accustomed to working with computers and systems for reporting faults, can express yourself well in writing, you have a driver's license, and good knowledge of Swedish and English. As a person, you are service-oriented, attentive, and communicative. You are also engaged, curious, and helpful. Here you will be an important player in our management team, and collaboration with others is natural for you.

What We Offer You
Chalmersfastigheter is more than a property company – we are an enabler for research, education, and innovation. With us, you work in the heart of one of the Nordics' most advanced campus environments, where the pace of development is high and standard solutions are few. The company is growing and has recently received an expanded mandate from Chalmers, which means that more projects and new roles are emerging within the organization.
