The Clinical Trials Unit, EKS, is part of the Research and Education Organization of Region Örebro County. Here, clinical trials are conducted in various therapeutic areas with different diagnoses on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, and academia. The unit's mission includes all aspects of clinical trials - from idea to implementation and reported study.
We are now looking for a project manager for our unit, which includes the role of product specialist. You will be part of the team at the Clinical Trials Unit. Here, a knowledge-intensive and customer-oriented workplace with great flexibility is offered. The unit currently has 19 employees with various competencies such as doctors, project managers, monitors, and research nurses. The unit strives not only for high competence, service, professional care, and great flexibility, but we also want to be a workplace characterized by warmth, participation, and joy. Our premises are located in the S-building at the USÖ area.

Project Manager, Clinical Trials Unit (EKS), USÖResponsibilitiesAll types of clinical research are surrounded by extensive regulations that ensure good quality, reliable data, and, not least, the safety and integrity of study participants. Your tasks will be varied but will primarily consist of project management of research studies conducted by the region's researchers and working as a product specialist in the region's electronic support system for collecting research data in clinical trials. The work includes, among other things:
- administrative support in contracts, reporting, and other documentation necessary for clinical trials
- writing applications to relevant authorities, such as the Ethical Review Authority and the Medical Products Agency
- project managing/coordinating clinical studies
- developing relevant documentation for process flows and quality assurance
- building, planning, and validating in the region's e-CRF
- responding to study inquiries and engaging in dialogue with investigators
- planning, budgeting, reviewing/writing contracts, and invoicing
- regulatory advice regarding clinical studies
- participating in internal and external training sessions
- contributing to building/upholding quality systems for clinical studies
- contributing to business development and helping to increase the opportunities for conducting high-quality clinical research within Region Örebro County and nationally.

QualificationsWe are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree in biomedicine, molecular biology, or equivalent medical and/or natural science education, preferably with experience in conducting and/or implementing medical research. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, be comfortable with the Office package, and be open to learning to manage other IT systems used in connection with clinical trials. For the position, practical experience in working with clinical research/clinical trials and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice is meritorious.
We value qualities such as a positive attitude and good collaboration skills, but also the ability to work independently and take responsibility. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability. In interactions with researchers, study personnel, and other partners, you need to be service-oriented, attentive, and able to handle changing conditions. The work requires you to be quality-conscious and to independently drive your tasks.
