We are now looking for a physical education teacher for our wonderful Elmsta School on Väddö. This position is for you who have experience as a physical education teacher for grades one to six and have a desire to influence students' conditions to reach as far as possible in their development. We are recruiting as our current physical education teacher has another assignment during the spring term. Elmsta School is one of three schools in the Älmsta principal area along with Norrsund School grades 7-9 and Grisslehamn School grades F-6, collaborations between the schools are an important part of everyday life.

The Assignment

We collaborate in various constellations with the work team, leisure, student health, etc. You will be part of the work team F-6 where you work together to develop the school's mission in accordance with applicable governing documents and of course participate in the school's development work. As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching. You are also responsible for documenting and assessing students' abilities against the knowledge requirements and for creating good conditions for students together with your colleagues. For us, it is important to have a conscious linguistic approach in all teaching that makes the teaching clear for all students.

The main part of the teaching is at Elmsta School, one lesson a week you will teach at Grisslehamn School.

Collaboration with colleagues within the school but also between schools is included. With us, you will inspire and create conditions for joyful learning every day together with your colleagues.

What You Need to Bring

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching physical education, but also for you who have experience without formal education. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have a good ability to communicate in speech and writing. You are flexible and have good collaborative skills. You have a strong student focus, easily create good relationships, and collaborate with students, guardians, colleagues, the school's student health team, and school management. We are looking for you who are a clear leader and have the ability to create security through clear structure and varied teaching. You have a professional and positive attitude and can see challenges as opportunities. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Welcome to Us

The Älmsta principal area consists of three schools located in Älmsta and Grisslehamn. Norrsund School 7-9, Elmsta School F-6, and Grisslehamn School F-6. The schools are located close to nature and beautiful surroundings. Elmsta School currently has about 170 students and about 30 employees. We have a close collaboration with the other schools in the principal area and have joint work teams with Grisslehamn School. The school is near Älmsta center with access to excursion opportunities while being in a quiet residential area with access to large areas and play areas.

Employment Form, Scope, and Start

• Employment form: Fixed-term employment (substitute)
• Scope: Part-time 60% distributed over three days a week
• Start date: 250108 or by agreement
