Description

We are looking for you who want to work as a substitute within care and nursing homes, home care, or support for people with disabilities in Timrå Municipality and can replace regular staff during absences and work as an extra resource when needed.

Home Care

In Timrå Municipality, there are six home care groups where you work during the day, evening, and weekend. There is also a night patrol that performs visits at night to clients receiving home care.

In home care, you help people in their homes. The client's needs and approved services determine your tasks. This can range from personal care, cleaning, meal preparation, and feeding to medical tasks such as medication handover, wound dressing, insulin administration, catheter care, and tube feeding.

Some medical tasks require delegation, which you will receive from the nurse after passing a test. Delegation is a requirement to work in home care. In several of our home care groups, a driver's license is also required.

Care and Nursing Homes

Our facilities are staffed around the clock, which means that you as staff may work during the day, evening, weekend, and night.

Working in a care and nursing home is similar to working in home care. Here, too, you work in the client's home, and it is the client's needs that guide your tasks. Those living in a care and nursing home often have greater care needs.

Here, you will organize the work together with your colleagues to ensure that everyone receives the help they need and that all tasks are completed during the day. You assist clients with personal care such as hygiene and dressing, meal preparation and feeding, cleaning, and medical tasks such as medication handover, insulin administration, wound dressing, tube feeding, and catheter care. Some medical tasks require delegation, which you will receive from the nurse after passing a test.

You are also responsible for planning both large and small activities for the clients together with your colleagues, and there are also tasks related to the maintenance of the department.

Support for People with Disabilities

In support for people with disabilities, shifts are during the day, evening, weekend, or overnight with sleeping duty.

In a group or service residence, individuals with various disabilities live. Your tasks are also guided by the individual’s needs and wishes, which can include personal care and hygiene, planning and enabling leisure activities, or supporting contact with family or guardians. Work may sometimes be done together with colleagues, but there is also solitary work.

In Timrå Municipality, we also have a few assignments in personal assistance, where you will base your work on the client's individual needs and wishes and accompany them in their daily life. You will play a significant role in the person's well-being, and therefore we are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has a strong commitment to working with people.

If you have had previous employment, we require references from a manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Recruitment Process

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a protected professional title as a nursing assistant or someone who has previously worked in healthcare. In addition, you should be responsible, have a good attitude, be flexible, attentive, and have an easy time collaborating. You also need to have the desire to make the day as good as possible for the clients the service is intended for.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement as it is necessary for effective verbal communication with clients and colleagues and to understand verbal and written instructions. Furthermore, all staff must be able to perform written documentation in our journal system.

You must have permission to work in Sweden.

If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will be contacted by us to receive and provide more information. If you then proceed to an interview, you need to come prepared with the following documents:

  • We will check citizenship. Therefore, you need to bring a passport or a national ID card. If you do not have this, we will obtain a personal certificate from the Tax Agency at the interview, and for that to be possible, you need to have e-identification. The personal certificate will be checked against a valid Swedish ID.
  • If you are not a citizen of Sweden or another EU/EES country or Switzerland, you need to show that you have a residence and work permit. You also need to have a valid Swedish ID. If you have a control or designation number from the Migration Agency, you should also bring that.
  • You need to present a driver's license if you will work in a home care group where driving is required.
  • Bring your grades and diploma. If you are a trained nursing assistant, we want to see proof of your protected professional title.
