LKAB's open-pit mines are located in Svappavaara, forty kilometers southeast of Kiruna. In these open pits, we extract iron ore by drilling, blasting, and then crushing and screening the ore into a raw material for pellet production. Our operations also include ore processing in our beneficiation plant and pellet plant. In the ST department (Operational Support), we have Automation, Media, Property Department, and Project Department.

Your role

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician in electricity for a workplace with short decision-making paths and close collaboration. As part of our team of experienced maintenance technicians, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance within our areas of responsibility. You will play an important role in our work to increase operational reliability and availability in our production facilities together with our other maintenance technicians. The work also involves close collaboration with both internal and external contacts.

In the role of Electrical Maintenance Technician, the tasks mainly consist of driving the development towards effective preventive maintenance, with a strong focus on systematically working with maintenance plans, agreements, facility documentation, spare parts optimization, and condition monitoring. Driving smaller independent projects is also included. You will also take responsibility during breakdowns and FU stops together with the other maintenance technicians. Being a technical support for the staff in our section and our customers is also an important part of the job.

We expect you to have:

• Approved high school education in electricity or equivalent
• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Experience in the profession in similar positions or other qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Knowledge of electricity, low current systems, switchgear, and drive systems as well as electrical authorization.
• Experience in the electrician profession, preferably within the industry.
• Experience with LKAB.
