Machine Safety Engineer – Help Shape the Future of Safe Work Environments with DEKRA

About the Role

As a Machine Safety Engineer, you will be an important part of our consulting team within Safety & Sustainability. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that their machines and equipment meet current safety requirements – and you will help create business by identifying needs and offering solutions that make a real difference.

The role involves travel within Sweden, so you need to have a driver's license (B) and appreciate being on-site with clients.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses of machines and technical equipment
• Implement and follow up on safety measures according to regulations and standards
• Perform inspections and tests to ensure that machines meet safety requirements
• Participate in training and information initiatives related to machine safety
• Support managers and employees in safety issues
• Be involved in developing the business through customer dialogues and needs analysis

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with risk assessments and CE marking of machines, products, and/or equipment
• Knowledge of legal requirements in the field
• Experience with ATEX, electrical/system safety, HAZOP, and PED is a plus
• Good language skills in Swedish and English
