About the Role

As a VA Designer, you will become part of an experienced and close-knit team of about 15 people working with the design of water, wastewater, and stormwater networks in all design phases. You will serve as an important bridge between junior and senior colleagues, relieving more senior staff and supporting the development of junior team members. You will participate in several projects simultaneously, often 3-4 at a time, working on everything from municipal VA assignments and urban development to larger state infrastructure projects. The work environment is characterized by close collaboration, good communication, and a lack of prestige – a daily routine where everyone helps each other and works together to solve tasks in the best way possible.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal and external meetings and contribute technical expertise.
• Join weekly planning meetings regarding workload and project status.
• Work in AutoCAD and Civil 3D with drawings, models, and technical documents.
• Coordinate projects and ensure that information is handled correctly and on time.
• Learn and work with relevant software and tools in the projects.
• Support junior colleagues and relieve seniors in the design process.

Requirements

• Civil engineer or bachelor of science in civil engineering, natural sciences/technology, or equivalent education.
• 3-5 years of experience in VA design.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Meritorious

• Experience in utility coordination.
• Experience in 3D coordination, e.g., Navisworks.
• Experience in stormwater investigations or VA contracts.
• Interest in development work.
