The Opportunity

Are you ready to enhance your career journey? HVDC Supply Chain is seeking a dedicated Business Improvement Lead to identify, drive, and implement our improvement activities within SCM.

Join Our Innovative HVDC Team as an SCM HVDC Business Improvement Lead within the SCM Yard Equipment Team.

HVDC is a business unit within Hitachi Energy, headquartered in Ludvika, Sweden, which develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems in a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

We are now looking for an engaging and driven person to join the Supply Chain Management team in HVDC. As a Business Improvement Lead, you will monitor and coordinate operational tasks and lead the improvement activities in the department in close cooperation with your team as well as the different stakeholders, including the global SCM HVDC management team.

How you'll make an impact

  • Drive, coordinate, and monitor the operational tasks and support strategic tasks to be delivered by the SCM Yard Equipment team.
  • Support the development and implementation of global strategies within the HVDC Category Management team in the Supply Chain Management function.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procedures and processes within the function and ensure our processes are up to date in our Process Management System.
  • Identify, drive, lead, and implement initiatives for our Continuous Improvement program.
  • Support colleagues in our way to work more efficiently in our daily work.
  • Drive digitalization within the function.
  • Drive excellence within the function, identifying the best solutions to challenges and driving best practice implementation.
  • Support the function in change management, fostering a culture where change is encouraged and well managed – includes supporting improvement initiatives.
  • Establish clear and transparent communication within the function as well as cross-functionally – create and maintain the function’s communication strategy.
  • Drive and develop how we can utilize our applications in the most efficient way, such as SAP, SCM tools, Office365, MS Power Apps, etc.

Your background

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or another relevant area.
  • Experience in HVDC Supply Chain Management roles.
  • Strong understanding of HVDC Supply Chain Management processes and methods.
  • Experience in designing and documenting processes in Adonis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven formal or informal leader with solid influencing skills.
  • SAP, Office365, MS Power Apps knowledge.
