Hello you cheerful home gardener, support educator, and care-oriented person looking for a smaller, more personal workplace.
This position is part-time at 50%.
Do you want to create the best conditions for people with disabilities to live like everyone else? Do you enjoy growing your own flowers and vegetables, crafting, and creating based on the seasons with flowers and what nature has to offer? Do you have creativity and enjoy engaging others? Do you like being outdoors all year round?
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our work team where your main focus is to work together with participants in our operations to create and drive our activities focused on gardening, crafts, and creative creation. As we work with people with disabilities, we are a workplace where different individuals have different support needs in their daily lives. Here, we see you as someone who naturally identifies and addresses care needs. This may include assistance with clothing, meal situations, setting up and clearing away work materials, and similar tasks. There may be care needs related to, for example, epilepsy, reminders for toilet visits, and difficulties remembering daily routines.
We work within gardening and see daily activities as a platform for creation and contributing to a greener world. You will work in a team but need to be able to work independently. You should have a personal interest in gardening, crafts, and creative activities.
Mindme is a daily activity for people with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other related diagnoses.
We are looking for someone with a passionate interest in the connection between health, people, nature, and technology. For us, social welfare goals are interconnected. People, environment, participation, and equality. We work in project form and have a constantly evolving operation.
Your qualifications:
- You are warm, engaged, structured, and have a positive attitude.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders/mild intellectual disabilities, preferably in operations conducted according to LSS.
- Secondary or post-secondary education of two years or longer in a relevant field (secondary school in health and care or child and leisure, social work, education, craft education, social pedagogy, leisure leadership)
- Computer skills. Administrative tasks are included, e.g., documentation, attendance reports, creating visual support, etc.
- Driver's license (B).
The work is person-intensive, and you need to be able to juggle multiple tasks. Calmness and structure are prerequisites. You also need to be able to administer based on your role in relevant data systems.
A distinctive sense of service is essential in all our relationships with relatives, taxis, caseworkers, during outings, and in all other contexts where we want to be present and spread a positive, solution-focused atmosphere. Having a good sense of humor is an important trait.
