About the position

This is a temporary assignment for approximately 3–4 months with the possibility of extension. The recruitment process is conducted through Bravura, and you will be employed as a consultant during this period.

About the company

Karossan Invest AB is one of Sweden's leading specialists in vehicle fittings and constructions. The company performs assembly, welding, sheet metal, plastic, and painting work as well as electrical installations. Karossan was founded in 1944 as a carpentry shop with Scania as its largest customer – they simply built truck cabins out of wood. As the automotive industry has developed, Karossan has also grown, with more customers and more advanced assignments. Today, about 35 people work in the company, with production located in Södertälje. Among the customers are Mercedes, the Armed Forces, the Police, the Rescue Service, Relacom, SVT, Telia, and Volkswagen. Karossan stands for quality, craftsmanship, and innovative solutions – from idea to finished vehicle superstructure.

Job responsibilities

As a welder, you will work closely with the production team and contribute to ensuring a smooth workflow. The work primarily involves welding and simpler manufacturing of components for Karossan's superstructures.

Examples of job tasks:

• MIG/MAG welding in steel

• Simpler manufacturing and assembly of steel parts and components

• Adaptation work and support during assembly

• Basic reading of drawings

• Contribute to maintaining quality and safety in production

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Some experience in welding, preferably MIG/MAG
• Experience from workshops, industry, or vehicle adaptation is an advantage
• Ability to work practically, accurately, and in a structured manner
• Basic knowledge of reading drawings is an advantage but not a requirement
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

As a person, you enjoy working practically and closely with production. You are cooperative, unpretentious, and contribute a positive attitude to experienced colleagues. The role suits you if you can quickly grasp tasks and want to be an important resource during the period.
