Traffic Controller Wanted at Kalmar County Traffic

We are looking for someone who enjoys variety in their work and solving daily events in public transport.

As a traffic controller, you will be responsible for assisting both drivers and passengers.

You have an operational responsibility that involves leading and distributing resources to minimize the impact on passengers. An important part of your role is to communicate relevant disruption information to customers, drivers, and other stakeholders through our technical systems and via phone. Your tasks also include reporting deviations.

We have staffing in the traffic control center every day of the year. Weekdays from 05:05 to 23:05. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 07:05 to 23:05. Currently, weekend shifts occur during two weekends out of seven.

In this recruitment, we are looking for one employee for a permanent position as our colleague moves on to another internal position, as well as a temporary position for a parental leave employee. The temporary position is until 2026-12-31 with the possibility of extension.

About You

We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education. You handle emerging problems and deviations methodically. You can analyze, prioritize, and continuously evaluate the information you receive. You work long-term, solution-oriented, and can work under time pressure while maintaining quality and are willing to make decisions.

As a person, you have a high service mentality, are responsible, flexible, stable, and have good collaboration skills.

You enjoy using computers and phones as work tools and find it easy to handle various IT systems. Familiarity with the region and previous experience in similar tasks is an advantage.

You should have a good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Since some shifts are outside public transport hours, you should be able to reach your workplace in Högsby by other means as well.
