The Luleå area is the northernmost part of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and includes the prisons in Luleå and Haparanda as well as the detention center in Luleå. The largest professional group is prison officers, but we also have healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, and more. In the prisons, the inmates are engaged in education, various treatment programs, or within the prison's wood production. You can easily reach the Luleå prison and detention center by public transport, and if you drive, you can park in our staff parking. The Haparanda prison is a five-minute walk from Haparanda station.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a production leader at Haparanda prison, you will work with other production leaders to introduce and guide clients placed in the carpentry workshop. In your daily contact with the inmates, your work will contribute to the clients' learning and also help them reflect on their situation. This role also includes maintenance of machines and quality control. Additionally, you will have customer contact with existing external customers and be responsible for finding new customers.

After the introduction, you will be involved in managing the daily operations as a production leader. You will plan, distribute work, and ensure that our deliveries are made on time. You will also participate in the production work yourself. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for production planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipients' conditions. We consider it important that you have safety awareness regarding both the work environment and client safety. You should also have a physical status that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the fundamental values of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service regarding a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and the belief that people can develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education in the form of a diploma or secondary school certificate.
• Good computer skills.
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• A valid driver's license (B).

It is considered an advantage if you have:

• Experience in carpentry/construction.
• Experience in a mentoring role.
• Relevant language skills.
