Unit Manager for the Payroll Unit

Enköping Municipality is looking for a unit manager for the payroll unit who wants to lead the unit into the future. In the role of unit manager, you will have the opportunity to build on a strong foundation while developing and challenging processes, systems, and employees to create modern, secure, and efficient payroll management.

With us, you will create value within the HR and payroll department. You will lead, inspire, and motivate the team in your unit of 10 employees and ensure that the municipality has a payroll function that is both sustainable and forward-looking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The payroll unit is a central part of the municipality and is responsible for ensuring that payroll processes function legally and efficiently. As the payroll manager, you will have overall responsibility for operations, budget, work environment, and personnel. You will report to the HR manager and become an important part of our municipality's future work.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Ensuring that payroll processes and systems support the operations and develop in line with needs
  • Driving development and improvement work, both operationally and strategically
  • Implementing and developing digital solutions (payroll systems, scheduling and staffing systems, digital personnel archives)
  • Collaborating closely with HR and management to create added value for the entire organization
  • Personnel and budget responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to take leadership to the next level. You have a relevant academic education, for example in HR, behavioral science, or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable.

You have several years of current managerial experience and thrive in a role where you combine operational management with strategic work. To succeed with us, you need to be confident in leading and developing both people and processes, preferably within payroll or administrative areas.

You are used to working in an organization with many stakeholders and can clearly and pedagogically communicate processes, guidelines, and decisions to both managers and employees.

We also see that you have:

  • Good knowledge of labor law and general regulations (AB)
  • Experience with digital working methods and system support
  • Documented experience in driving development and change work
