Close, courageous leadership and change
As a unit manager, you are the manager who is closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit. You also represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in external collaborations.

Your unit consists of about 20 employees working with parental insurance and is located in Uppsala. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet changing needs. You create understanding of context, direction, and the goals the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you are a support for the area manager and you are part of the area's management group consisting of 10 managers where you contribute your expertise and engagement. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness.

  • have a good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's mission.

1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date as agreed. A probationary period may be applicable.
