Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.

The Community Development Administration consists of three departments; citizen service, strategic community planning, and the technical department. The administration is responsible for ensuring service to citizens and businesses, for the strategic planning of community building, as well as for the municipality's water and sewage operations, waste management, property, and project organization as support for these operations during new and reinvestments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The technical department of Åre Municipality consists of operations within waste management and water/sewage. In the waste management unit, we currently have four waste engineers, three waste administrators, and one unit manager.

We live in a time where sustainability and circular economy have never been more important. New legal requirements, such as extended producer responsibility and requirements for separate collection, place higher demands on our waste management unit. To ensure that Åre Municipality not only complies with legislation but also stays at the forefront of effective and environmentally friendly waste management, we now need to strengthen our team with a few more dedicated waste administrators.

We are looking for those of you who are driven to contribute to the development of future waste management. Together, you will work in an efficient, pleasant, and easy-going group with, among other things:

• Responsible for and working in the unit's operational systems EDP/Future and Castor
• Responsible for the fractions residual and food waste
• Responsible for sludge emptying
• System administration, customer contacts, and invoicing.
• Development work
• Administrative and practical tasks within the waste management assignment

You represent Åre Municipality both internally and externally and are expected to actively contribute to a positive development of the municipality's waste management and brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and education in the waste area and/or administration is an advantage
• It is advantageous if you have worked in the operational systems EDP/Future and/or Castor
• Have a strong interest in waste management and environmental issues
• Have good computer skills
• Have a driver's license for a car
• Master the Swedish language in speech and writing

You have good collaborative skills in a humble manner. You will be able to meet citizens in both speech and writing in a professional and informative way. As a person, you enjoy thinking outside the box and finding new solutions to old problems. You work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you have started, and meet deadlines.

OTHER
