Assignment

We are now looking for a colleague to our two department heads at the Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Halmstad, where we work with shared leadership aiming to be a cohesive clinic.

As a manager in Region Halland, you have two assignments: to steer and lead with a focus on results and to engage and motivate your employees. You are the employer's representative and you represent Region Halland, which means you have an understanding of the organization as a whole.

In close collaboration with your managerial colleagues, you will lead the staff in working to achieve the clinic's goals and develop adult psychiatric care. You are responsible for finances, personnel, and working environment.

You lead the operations so that employees' competence, engagement, and participation are developed and utilized. It is important that you contribute to a culture where continuous improvement work is a crucial and natural part of everyday work. You will be part of the management team, where you and your colleagues actively contribute to the overall development of the area.

The clinic has a stable staff group with high competence, and you will be offered introduction, guidance, and continuous support in your work.

You will be employed in a permanent position in your core profession with a four-year appointment as a manager.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About the workplace

Psychiatry Halland is Region Halland's administration for all public specialist psychiatry. This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care.

The Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic has the task of investigating and treating specialist psychiatric patients. The target group is individuals over 18 years old with neuropsychiatric conditions, severe depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, suicidality, and complex dependency issues. We offer psychiatry close to the residents and have clinics in each municipality.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Halmstad has a catchment area of approximately 105,000 residents. The clinic collaborates with various municipal units, primary care, and psychiatric inpatient care in Halmstad. The clinic has about 75 employees – doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, caregivers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries. The clinic is characterized by a positive spirit and continuous improvement work is conducted.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree with a core profession found within psychiatric care. You have experience working in psychiatric care. You should have a clear commitment to leadership issues, and previous managerial experience in healthcare is highly meritorious.

A prerequisite for succeeding and thriving as a department head with us is that you are developmental, flexible, and have excellent collaboration skills. You strive to be a role model, show personal care, and be able to inspire and motivate your employees.

You are structured, attentive, clear in your communication, present, and can steer the operations according to set goals. Together with the staff and your managerial colleagues, you create a well-functioning care organization and a good work community. As a leader, you create participation and an engaged culture that allows employees to grow. You also have an interest in developing yourself as a manager. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As travel is involved in the work, a valid driver's license B is required.
