Region Blekinge is responsible for the operation and maintenance of approximately 290,000 square meters of premises in the region.

Property services in Karlskrona manage properties in eastern Blekinge and strive to create sustainable and well-maintained environments for businesses and residents. Our outdoor environments play an important role in comfort, recovery, and well-being. We are now looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable gardener to join our grounds team in Karlskrona.

About the Job

As a gardener, you will play a central role in caring for our outdoor environments, primarily at Blekingesjukhuset in Karlskrona but also surrounding areas belonging to Region Blekinge. The grounds team, currently consisting of five employees, works independently to plan and execute their assignments.

Examples of Tasks:

• Lawn mowing and weed control
• Pruning of trees and shrubs
• Cleaning roofs and clearing gutters
• Participation in renovation projects, including design and development of new outdoor environments
• Maintenance of vehicles and equipment, such as tractors and wheel loaders.

The position is a temporary contract lasting until 2026-08-31.

About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in outdoor environments and a passion for creating well-maintained and attractive gardens.

Qualifications:

• KY education in gardening or equivalent knowledge deemed comparable by the employer.
• Driving license B is required.

Meritorious:

• Experience in landscape maintenance, paving, and use of power tools.
• Licenses for chainsaw and brush cutter.
• Good plant knowledge and practical experience in gardening.

Personal Attributes:

• Responsible, self-driven, and proactive.
• Creative and service-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Good collaboration skills and accustomed to working both independently and in teams.
• Strong safety awareness and flexibility to handle new challenges.
• Personal suitability is highly valued.

Region Blekinge's organization is divided into six areas of responsibility, one of which is regional services. Here, resources for regional properties, property technology, cleaning, logistics, meal services, central storage, and customer service are gathered. The primary mission of regional services is to own, manage, and develop Region Blekinge's properties and leased premises. The area also provides and develops service offerings within cleaning, meal, material, and textile supply.
