ValueOne is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry in Uppsala. The assignment starts by agreement and runs for 6–12 months with the possibility of extension.

About the role
You will work proactively with quality management and improvement work towards suppliers of direct materials and components in categories such as electronics, castings, mechanics, and hydraulics. The role plays an important function in ensuring that the right quality is achieved and that final inspections are minimized. You are responsible for ensuring that quality assurance occurs throughout the chain, from the supplier's processes to incoming inspections and further into production.
Main responsibilities:
- Assess, qualify, and develop suppliers.
- Ensure that suppliers meet standards, customer requirements, and certifications.
- Drive deviation management and follow up root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and follow up control plans and incoming inspections.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and engineering.
- Monitor quality key figures and initiate improvement work.
- Conduct supplier audits.
Experience and competence
To succeed in the role of Supplier Quality Engineer, you should have at least three years of experience working as a Supplier Quality Engineer or equivalent in both electronics and mechanical materials from the manufacturing industry. You are comfortable conducting supplier audits independently and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English. It is advantageous if you have a post-secondary technical education and experience from technical roles. Good system skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and basic electronics knowledge are also desirable.
As a person, you are curious and meticulous, have a strong safety mindset, and work systematically. You are solution-oriented and find it easy to collaborate with others.
