ABOUT THE POSITION
Radonova started in 1986 as a small research group of four people, in the shadow of the Chernobyl disaster. Today, the company is a global leader in radon measurement, with customers in over 80 countries and offices around the world. From high-tech production and advanced analysis to research, support, and digital solutions. Radonova offers radon measurement for everything from homes and workplaces to larger facilities and land areas, thereby making a concrete difference for people's health worldwide.
As a Junior Lab Technician at Radonova, you will be part of a cutting-edge high-tech laboratory, where you will work with the analysis of radon and cesium samples, review measurement results, and contribute to reporting and quality assurance according to well-established standards. You will be part of an experienced and dedicated team that together ensures reliable analyses and high quality at every step. The tasks vary with the season; during peak season, the focus is on radon analysis at a fast pace, while the low season offers more in-depth documentation work and projects that develop both you and the business. The role suits you who are meticulous, proactive, and curious about environmental and radiation protection work, and who thrive in a technically advanced and meaningful work environment. You will work at Radonova's newly renovated headquarters in Uppsala, where you will have around 25 knowledgeable colleagues who share your commitment to quality and sustainability.
This is a direct recruitment, which means that you will be employed directly by Radonova. Academic Work is responsible for the entire recruitment process and is there to support you from application to employment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Tasks
As a Junior Lab Technician, you will have a varied everyday life where you will:
- Work with the analysis of radon and cesium
- Handle incoming measuring equipment (radon detectors) and review results
- Prepare reports and documentation
- Have some customer contact, often via email
- Perform daily checks and ensure the operation of measuring instruments
- Contribute to exciting projects, e.g., cesium measurement in food
- Be an internal resource for technical questions from customer service
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a post-secondary education in chemistry, physics, biology, or similar
- Is looking for your first job after studies and wants to grow together with Radonova
- Has very good computer skills and finds it easy to understand new technical systems
- Is very comfortable with Excel and other programs within Office 365
- Has a self-learning attitude with a strong desire to further develop within digital tools
- Is curious about new technologies and has the ability to work modernly, for example, by using AI tools for idea development and work efficiency
- Is very comfortable with Swedish and English in both speech and writing as it is required to perform the job
It is very meritorious if you:
- Are very comfortable with German, French, or Spanish in both speech and writing
And most importantly, your personality:
- Social and collaborative – easily creates contact with others and enjoys working in a team
- Proactive and solution-oriented – works independently and drives the work forward by identifying and solving problems
