Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) is an internationally leading centre at Stockholm University that works with interdisciplinary research, education, and collaboration on resilience and sustainable development. SRC is a young and dynamic organization with many international collaborations. In total, SRC has about 160 employees.

For more information about us, visit: Stockholm Resilience Centre (https://www.stockholmresilience.org/).

Our research approach often means that we work outside established academic traditions, which requires innovative funding models. Therefore, we have built experiences, contacts, and an infrastructure over the past few years to secure funding from a broader group of financiers (philanthropists, companies, and individuals).

MISTRA Finance to Revive Biodiversity (finbio.org (https://finbio.org)) is a research program run by SRC. It aims to deliver groundbreaking, decision-relevant research that supports the integration of biodiversity into financial systems and decision-making. The program is a collaboration between academic and financial actors. Our mission is to support the financial sector's ability to contribute to a nature-positive economy and strengthen our planet's resilience by reversing the loss of nature and biodiversity.

Job Responsibilities

If you are interested in being a key piece in the work of making science accessible to a broad audience and directly actionable, this is a perfect position for you. You will work alongside a diverse group of researchers at the forefront of sustainability science and at the interface with companies and financial actors. You will be exposed to a wide range of stakeholders within the academic and financial systems, and over time you are expected to work independently to drive the testing/implementation of the mentioned tools and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in (and experience in) one or more of the following disciplines: sustainability science, environmental science, accounting, business administration.
  • Fluent English in speech and writing. Fluent Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Documented experience from related work relevant to this application.
  • Some familiarity with the current landscape of corporate sustainability reporting (e.g., knowledge of/familiarity with TNFD, CSRD, and other similar standards).
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessment within companies is a strong merit.

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on personal qualities and are looking for a person with good collaboration skills who is purpose-driven, communicative, and committed to finding solutions and achieving results. The ability to structure work and prioritize among various tasks is also important.

About the Employment

The position is full-time for 12 months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting, so please state your salary expectations. Start date as soon as possible.
