Vasikkavuoma Development Economic Association has a long and stable history. The core business consists of nature and cultural conservation assignments both locally and externally. We collaborate with the municipality, authorities, other associations, and companies. The focus is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for those living and working in the Meja villages (Mukkakangas, Erkheikki, Juhonpieti, and Autio) and surrounding areas. We do this by managing the Vasikkavuoma and Jupukka nature reserves, owning and offering rental of Folkets Hus in Erkheikki, leasing and renting out Camp Vasikkavuoma, organizing events and activities for all ages, and running collaborative projects.

We are now looking for a person with practical skills in nature management and conservation.

The tasks include clearing, mowing, nature conservation, timbering, environmental measures, carpentry, maintenance of machines, management of nature reserves, grooming of trails, and similar tasks, supervision and maintenance of facilities, and other tasks within the association.

A large part of the work takes place outdoors, and summer is our peak season.

The position also includes the ability to function as a group leader when needed for youth during seasonal work in the bog.

The position is full-time, permanent, but initially a 6-month probationary period.

You should have previously worked practically with similar tasks.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities such as competence, self-drive, ability to work in a team, responsibility, and practical skills. Chainsaw certification, brushcutter certification, and similar training/certifications are advantageous.

As we are an economic association and the workgroup is small, tasks may vary and change based on the board's decisions.
