About the position

As a forklift operator at DFDS, you will primarily work with terminal logistics, where a large part of the job involves driving a reachstacker (category C3a). It is a fast-paced job where you handle containers within a defined terminal area. You will be part of a team with other forklift operators, working together towards set daily goals. There may also be driving with counterbalance forklifts or pallet trucks depending on the needs. 

About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys working both physically and outdoors and has no problem working regardless of the weather. You see safety as an important part of your execution, to prevent accidents from occurring. It is also important that you can handle stress and maintain focus in pressured situations as the pace is high at the terminal.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see that this is a position for someone who is self-assured, responsible, and enjoys teamwork.

You are experienced in operating machinery and handle it with precision – perhaps you have driven wheel loaders, excavators, or other "joystick machines". Experience from, for example, working as a material handler at a recycling center is also valuable.

Requirements for the position

• B driver's license
• Forklift license A-B, as well as C3a. Container truck
• Ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
• Experience driving a reachstacker

Meritorious

• Experience working at a combined terminal
• Relevant education in railways and ports.
