Velora is a digital specialist clinic for the treatment of overweight and obesity, with the goal that no one should have to be stuck in involuntary overweight. With a combination of modern research, technology, and a holistic approach, we are on the right track. We are now looking for a Medical Director who wants to contribute to the development of our operations and support our fantastic medical team.

About the role

As a Medical Director, you will play a central role in leading and supporting our doctors in their daily work. You are the final instance for all medical questions that arise and ensure that our guidelines are followed and that the care meets the highest possible standards. Your focus is on creating conditions for our doctors to provide safe and effective care by offering support in complex cases, managing medical decisions, and contributing to continuous development of quality and patient safety.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced doctor with leadership skills and a strong desire to contribute to development. You are confident in your professional role, have an easy time communicating with trust and clarity, and are structured, responsible, and service-minded. To succeed in the role, you need to have a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and good self-awareness.

Qualifications

• Swedish medical license and specialist certificate in the relevant field.
• Familiar with working with digital tools and interested in developing digital care.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good collaboration skills and responsiveness towards both colleagues and patients.

Meritorious

• Experience in handling patient cases and medical issues at the management level.
• Experience working with patients with overweight/obesity and an interest in this patient group.
• Previous leadership experience in healthcare, preferably in digital or private care.
• Experience in developing and implementing quality and patient safety work.
