We are looking for a Strategic Buyer with global category responsibility, tasked with leading and driving the development of strategies for existing suppliers as well as developing and optimizing the supplier structure within several product categories. The role includes global responsibility for coordinating and developing purchasing strategies within assigned categories as well as ensuring quality, cost, capacity, delivery precision, risk reduction, and sustainability. With your expertise in negotiation and strategic purchasing, you will play a key role in shaping the future together with us.

Your main tasks include being responsible for negotiations, signing, further developing, and managing contracts. Maintaining supplier relationships and continuously evaluating existing and potentially new suppliers, verifying their ability to meet set requirements. The work also includes creating strategies and activities to improve quality, total cost, and delivery reliability, as well as being an escalation point for the supplier base.

Examples of tasks included in the role:

• Responsible for key suppliers: You manage relationships and contracts with our most strategic suppliers.
• Lead negotiations: You drive negotiations focused on achieving cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
• Develop purchasing routines: You identify areas for improvement and implement effective working methods to strengthen the purchasing function.
• Introduce new suppliers: You ensure that new suppliers are established based on needs in customer projects and business goals.

We prefer that you have a commercial purchasing background from the manufacturing or automotive industry and are accustomed to working in business systems such as ERP and PDM. You are a skilled buyer with previous experience in international purchasing work. As a person, you are self-driven in your role and have the ability to push your work forward and take initiative within the framework of your work. You are an experienced negotiator who can balance analytical and critical thinking with building strong relationships with our suppliers and improving results by finding new paths. You have the ability to communicate in a simple, straightforward, and clear manner in both English and Swedish, both spoken and written. As many of our suppliers are global, exciting travel and new contacts are included in the position.
