JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a rural development developer in Ronneby Municipality, you will play a central role in creating conditions for a lively and sustainable countryside. You will work both strategically and operationally to drive development and collaboration, becoming an important link between residents, politicians, associations, businesses, and regional actors.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading development projects: Driving initiatives and processes that strengthen the countryside, linked to our rural policy program and local development plans.
• Building networks: Developing and managing important networks, such as the municipal rural council and local development councils, to create collaboration and long-term relationships.
• Enhancing accessibility and safety: Supporting work on public transport, cycling infrastructure, and safety points as part of the municipality's overall development.
• Collaborating and coordinating: Promoting collaboration between the public sector, civil society, and businesses to strengthen the role and potential of the countryside.
• Seeking funding and supporting others: Identifying and applying for external project funding for rural development and providing support and advice to community associations and other actors in their applications.
• Contributing to an attractive countryside: Working on issues related to services, tourism, and culture that contribute to a sustainable and vibrant countryside.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is engaged, communicative, and has a genuine interest in rural development. You enjoy working both strategically and practically and have the ability to drive projects and create long-term solutions in collaboration with others.

We would like you to have:

• A university degree in urban planning, rural development, or a related field, or equivalent experience deemed relevant.
• Experience working in a project- and process-oriented manner as well as in network building.
• Analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture in complex issues while having a practical approach to your work.
• A knack for building trusting relationships and enjoying collaborating with various actors, such as residents, associations, and regional partners.
• Flexibility and a solution-focused mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and new priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Experience in rural issues, urban planning, or other development matters.

Good knowledge of the Office suite and a valid driver's license (B).
