We are now looking for several dedicated and quality-conscious robotic welding operators for Booforge Steel in Karlskoga. Do you want to work in a well-established industry with a solid history and develop together with the company? If so, this position may be for you.

About the Position

In the role of robotic welding operator at Booforge Steel, you will work on manufacturing lifting forks with a lifting capacity of up to 150 tons. The company specializes in designing and producing both customized fork blanks and fully welded lifting forks. Additionally, various accessories and a number of standard forks are manufactured. At the end of 2023, a robotic welding cell was installed in the factory, and as a welding operator, you will have the opportunity to be part of this development.

Booforge Steel is certified according to ISO 3834-2, which means they work with a controlled welding process. Welding is done according to method 138, welding with tubular wire, in thick materials where the heat reaches up to 300 degrees.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience as a welding operator; experience with robotic welding is an advantage. You need to be able to set up the welding machine and follow a WPS, be able to read drawings, and understand welding symbols. Since lifting is done with a crane, as well as a counterbalance forklift and a stacker, you need to have certificates for these. It is also advantageous if you have welding tests and training in hot work and visual inspection of welds.

To succeed in this role, you need to be engaged, quality-conscious, and meticulous. As the demands for drawing tolerances increase while the work is done at a high pace, you also need to be organized and efficient.

Requirements for the Position:

• Valid welding test for method 138 according to SS-EN ISO 9606–1 =12mm
• Ability to read drawings
• Understand welding symbols according to SS-EN ISO 2553
• Understand the requirements for welds according to SS-EN ISO 5817
• Ability to set up the welding machine and follow a WPS
• Forklift license – Counterbalance forklift and stacker
• Driving license B
• Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Cranes license - Type A B C G
• Experience in robotic welding, preferably with knowledge of ABB's RobotStudio
• IW diploma
• Other welding tests
• Hot work
• Training in visual inspection (VT) of welds

Additional Information

This is a staffing assignment where you will be employed by Nercia Bemanning and hired out to Booforge Steel in Karlskoga.

Start date: By agreement
Salary: Fixed salary according to collective agreement
Working hours: 2-shift
