Job Responsibilities

In this role, you have significant responsibility for personnel management, and it is important that you enjoy working closely and leading staff to be successful in your role. You are offered a developing and exciting position where you are responsible for planning, distributing, and scheduling the daily operational work for drivers stationed in Västberga and Uppsala.

The tasks include both strategic and operational planning, where you ensure that the right conditions exist for the daily operations to run efficiently. Furthermore, you are also responsible for recruitment, scheduling, and staffing of personnel, which requires a proactive approach and good leadership skills to ensure that staffing is optimal and that all operational goals are met.

Transport planning involves ensuring that processes and routines are followed so that the logistics flow is maintained. Another important task is to be responsible for monitoring deviations in the operation. You also handle the invoicing for the depot. Finally, you maintain continuous dialogue with those reporting to you and follow up with your immediate manager. 

• Plan, lead, and follow up on the operational activities with associated personnel responsibility
• Ensure that work is performed according to defined processes and follow up on deviations
• Goal follow-up, service outcomes, and ongoing reporting
• Contact with transport leaders and administration 

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Experience working in the transport & logistics industry
• You have work experience in a leadership position
• You speak and write fluently in Swedish and English
• Good computer skills
• CE license is a merit
• ADR and YKB qualifications are merits
• Post-secondary education in logistics, personnel, or economics is a merit

You are driven to lead and motivate others so that you can achieve common goals together. To lead the unit effectively, you are clear and make decisions, prioritize, and delegate tasks. To thrive in this role, you enjoy working at a fast pace and can handle a high workload without affecting the quality of your work. You do not get nervous about work that requires you to get a lot done in a short time. Additionally, you possess analytical skills and are used to handling facts and data to analyze and draw conclusions. The operational responsibility with many contact points requires that you have the ability to communicate effectively even in pressured situations. You are goal- and result-oriented with an interest in developing both service and customer interaction as well as your leadership. To succeed in the role, close and trusting collaboration with other functions within DHL Freight and with local customers is also required.
