About the Role

We share a common desire to influence tomorrow's climate-smart society and create the future's electricity grid on Gotland. GEAB is in the midst of an exciting transformation journey where digitalization and IT permeate most things; here you will actively be able to influence and contribute while delivering existing solutions with high availability requirements.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for someone interested in working with essential energy supply on Gotland. You will work with new construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of overhead lines, underground cable networks, and substations within 70-, 10-, and 0.4-kV electricity distribution networks, as well as new construction and maintenance of public lighting.

Some work will be at heights, so it is important that you feel comfortable with climbing and working at high elevations.

On-call duty will eventually be part of the employment.

Requirements

• At least a 3-year upper secondary education with a focus on electrical engineering, or a KY/YH education with a focus on electricity distribution or power engineering.
• Several years of work experience in electrical installations is an advantage.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a distribution technician.
• Good computer skills and a digital working method.
• Driving license B is required; BE and/or C is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Furthermore, you are a communicative and positive person with good collaboration skills as we work closely together. We believe you will thrive in the role if you enjoy driving change, readily accept new challenges, and can work independently. You should be a good problem solver and able to identify, propose, and prepare improvements.
