Nämndemansgatan in Motala is a special housing for the elderly operated by Attendo on behalf of Motala municipality. The nursing home is centrally located with close proximity to both the Göta Canal and Lake Vättern. The residence overlooks the football fields at Mossen, and with the Sagomossen preschool as its closest neighbor, it is an active and vibrant local area. The nursing home has a total of 54 places, of which 36 are for individuals with dementia.

Attendo has a meal concept called Matlust, which serves as a guide and a source of inspiration for a joyful meal environment that stimulates appetite and meal enjoyment.
Job Description
We are looking for a creative and driven individual who wants to create a great meal experience for our guests at the residence. As the food manager at Attendo Nämndemansgatan, you will want to be involved in developing the meal to be nutritious and sustainable, as well as a joyful experience for the residents. The role includes actively contributing to sustainable food production and consumption, which includes planning menus and purchases based on the season and in line with guest satisfaction and preferences. All meals are prepared on-site, and the work is done in close collaboration with the group leaders and activity managers to provide food and beverages based on needs, activities, and events. The position includes typical tasks in a kitchen, and you are responsible for following laws and guidelines, conducting self-checks, and more. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop the work with meals. As the food manager, you have daily contact with colleagues in healthcare, which requires good communication skills, teamwork, and a strong sense of service.
We are looking for someone with experience in practical work with food and meals in elderly care. You have experience with special diets and texture-modified diets and are accustomed to maintaining hygiene routines while handling administrative tasks efficiently and smoothly. Good knowledge of expressing oneself in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing, is necessary for this role.
For us, it is important that you have an interest in cooking and an understanding of nutritional needs and texture modifications for the elderly. As a person, you are creative and can prepare varied and appetizing dishes that appeal to our elderly residents' taste buds. Through strong commitment to work and attention to detail, you can do that little extra for the meal that has a significant impact on our dinner guests. The position is a permanent position at 75% and the working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day. We apply a probationary period of 6 months. Entry as soon as possible or by agreement.
