Description

We are strengthening our expertise and looking for someone who wants to work at our authority for forestry issues.

Responsibilities

You will mainly work with forestry advisory. The work is carried out both from the office and in the field.

You will also be involved in the district's other activities, which include inventories, area protection, and supervision. The work involves contacts with forest owners, forestry companies, authorities, interest organizations, and the general public. We cover a large geography where digital meeting forms and training are important tools. Travel with overnight stays throughout Norrbotten occurs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in forestry, biology with a forestry focus, or equivalent. Education, knowledge, and experience of nature value inventories are advantageous but not required. We value good IT/GIS skills.

Your personal qualities are of great importance. We are looking for an outgoing person with integrity who interacts with people objectively and respectfully. You enjoy fieldwork, are flexible, efficient, and have a good ability to collaborate with others. You are responsible, thorough, have good administrative skills, and carry out your tasks independently towards set goals. You also need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

A driver's license for a car is a requirement. Experience with snowmobiles is advantageous but not required.

Conditions

We offer a permanent position, and the position is full-time. Entry by agreement.

1 position primarily stationed in Pajala or Överkalix. Kalix can also be a possible location. Please indicate your preferred location. We apply a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting.
