Summer Job at the Cemeteries in Luleå Cathedral Parish

Welcome to apply for a summer job at the cemeteries in Luleå Cathedral Parish for the summer period of 2025!

Luleå Cathedral Parish is responsible for the Inner City Cemetery (opposite the Region Norrbotten building), the Örnäs Cemetery on Hertsövägen, and the Cathedral Square Cemetery in central Luleå.

As a summer worker, you will mainly work at the Inner City Cemetery or Örnäs Cemetery. During the summer period, we have about 45 employees, of which 30 are seasonal workers with varying lengths of employment. Are you interested in caring for our green environments at the cemeteries? Job Responsibilities

Maintenance and upkeep of cemeteries, primarily weeding, tending to grave plots, watering, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, grass trimming, planting spring and summer flowers, leaf blowing/raking. It is a free and varied job where you are part of the team.

Qualifications

You enjoy working outdoors regardless of the weather.

• You have very good physical fitness as the tasks are often physically demanding.
• You are responsible, meticulous, and service-oriented towards colleagues and visitors.
• You can work both independently and in a group.
• You have a B driver's license.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working at a cemetery where grieving people visit requires you to have a humble and respectful attitude. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We prefer if you have education or experience in cemetery work, gardening/park maintenance, or landscaping. We offer fresh air, beautiful environments, opportunities for wellness, and work clothes.

Conditions

• Seasonal garden worker, work period starting in early June, 7-12 weeks (June-August)
• Working hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00
• Hourly wage according to the collective agreement
