Description

Responsibilities

You will mainly work with supervision according to the Forestry Act and the Environmental Code. A large part of your work will involve processing notifications and applications related to forestry measures. You will also be involved in the Swedish Forest Agency's work with inventorying. The work is carried out both from the office and in the field.

You will also be involved in the district's other activities such as advisory services, area protection, and commissioned activities. The work involves contacts with forest owners, forestry companies, authorities, interest organizations, and the general public. We cover a large geography where digital meeting forms and training are important tools. Overnight travel within the district occurs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in forestry, biology with a forestry focus, or equivalent. Education, knowledge, and experience of nature value inventorying as well as experience of authority work are advantageous but not required. Knowledge of nature conservation species and birds is advantageous. We value good IT/GIS skills.

Your personal qualities are of great importance. We are looking for a person with integrity who interacts with people objectively and respectfully. You are flexible, can collaborate with others, and have good administrative skills. You are responsible and meticulous and carry out your tasks independently towards set goals. You also need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

A driver's license for a car is a requirement. Experience with snowmobiles is advantageous.

Conditions

We offer permanent employment and the position is full-time. Entry by agreement.

1 position stationed in Arvidsjaur. We apply a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting.
