About the department
The task of the bottling department in the production process is to bottle beer, cider, water, and soft drinks in their respective packaging. Both the high degree of automation and the products, where safety, high quality, and efficiency are crucial, require great commitment from our knowledgeable employees. When this recruitment is complete, our PET and glass lines will be divided into three departments with 20-25 employees each. The proximity to the customer and significant seasonal variation place great emphasis on creating flexibility within and between departments.
About the role
As a Production Manager, you have a central role in leading and developing the daily work. The role has an operational focus but also a strategic responsibility to develop the department, processes, and routines. You drive improvement work while ensuring that the business achieves its goals.
As a production manager, you are the first-line manager and have personnel responsibility for your team of about 20-25 employees, reporting to the Bottling Manager.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead and plan the daily work, in close collaboration with shift leaders
- Lead and follow up on the department's work to ensure that we achieve goals related to safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and employee focus (SQLE-M)
- Coach and motivate employees to create a positive and engaging work environment
- Be responsible for the work environment and ensure that safety and quality standards are met
- Budget responsibility and financial follow-up for the department
- Recruit and onboard new employees and coach their long-term development
- Build good relationships and promote cross-functional collaboration across functional boundaries
Requirements and personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is a confident and clear leader with a strong commitment to developing both the business and the employees.
We see that you have:
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial position with personnel responsibility, preferably in production or logistics
- Post-secondary education in logistics, production, or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as well as the Office suite
- Meritorious if you have experience in structured improvement work or similar
